Breaking Down the Your Gut’s Best Friend Ad
1. Thumbnail Score
I’m giving this a solid 5 out of 5.
This creative nails what most supplement ads struggle with – it puts the consumer’s fears at the center and directly addresses them.
It highlights common pain points and flips them into benefits using red and green toggles, which is not only visually effective but also gives viewers that little “aha” moment when they figure it out themselves.
That instant gratification? It keeps them watching.
What I love even more is the fact that it shows the final drink instead of just powder in a jar.
In the supplement space, that matters – people feel uneasy putting something unfamiliar into their body.
Showing them the outcome builds both desire and trust.
Bonus points for including the Trustpilot rating right in the creative. That single badge can instantly boost credibility and improve purchase intent.
2. Click Score
This one gets a full 5 out of 5.
The creative sets everything up so well that even without an in-video CTA, the headline and description carry the weight.
They mention the brand’s huge customer base, which acts as strong social proof.
It gives the audience a “you’re not alone” nudge, which is especially effective for a wellness product.
Plus, this ad has been running for quite a while, and that momentum adds to its credibility.
High engagement and validation from other users will naturally drive more clicks.
3. Ugly Score
This gets a solid 4 out of 5.
Yes, the product and branding are clearly visible, but the layout breaks away from standard, overdesigned templates.
It looks more like an Instagram infographic than a typical polished ad.
That rawness, combined with smart design, makes it stand out. I deducted one point only because it’s still a bit too clean to be called fully “ugly.”
4. Congruency Score
Perfect 5 on 5 here.
The landing page picks up exactly where the ad leaves off.
The same benefits are listed, the tone matches, and the flow feels seamless.
That kind of alignment builds trust. Plus, the page is clean, responsive, and easy to navigate, with testimonials, related products, and CTAs placed right where you’d expect them to be.
No friction, no second-guessing.
Caption
This caption does a great job.
It’s structured well with bullet points, paragraph breaks, and emojis – making it skimmable even for distracted scrollers.
It clearly explains the product’s benefits and ends with a CTA that directs people where they need to go. That’s how you write a high-performing caption.
How Can You Use This For Your Business?
1. Instead of jumping straight into product features, start by highlighting common pain points and then offer your product as the solution. That creates an instant hook.
2. Use toggle visuals, contrast colors, or side-by-side comparisons to build mental clarity and simplify decision-making for the user.
3. If you’re in a category where trust is key (like supplements or skincare), always show the end result. Don’t just sell the product – sell what it looks and feels like to use the product.
