Hey,
Let me tell you about a time I was stuck.
I was working with a client who had great ads – I’m talking high CTR, low CPM, click magnet creatives. But their conversions were tanking.
We were driving tons of traffic to the landing page, but something felt off.
The page looked okay. It was clean, the offer was solid. But people just weren’t converting.
So instead of throwing more money at ads, I pulled back and did what I now call my Landing Page Audit Checklist.
Within two weeks, conversion rates jumped by 34% – without touching the ad creative or increasing spend.
Since then, I’ve used this checklist for every new brand we onboard—and it’s helped unlock 7- and 8-figure funnels across skincare, fitness, DTC, and info-products.
Here it is, broken down into 5 essential sections:
Section 1: Messaging Consistency
Your ad sets the expectation—your landing page has to meet it.
- Headline matches ad hook
- Subheadline reinforces pain or promise
- CTA matches ad (same words, same tone)
- Tone is aligned with your audience’s vibe
- Hero image/video reflects the offer, not a generic stock shot
Section 2: Visual & Structural Clarity
If it’s confusing, they’re leaving.
- Clean, uncluttered layout
- One clear CTA above the fold (don’t hide it!)
- Use relevant, high-quality visuals—not filler
- Bold key info, use bullet points, icons, or microcopy
- Fully mobile responsive and super readable
Section 3: Value & Offer Framing
You’ve got 5 seconds to convince them.
- Strong value prop visible upfront
- Focus on benefits, not features
- Add social proof—reviews, logos, numbers
- Guarantee or refund policy builds trust fast
- Timers or “limited spots” add urgency (when true)
Section 4: Friction Reducers
The less effort, the more conversions.
- Minimal form fields (3–5 max)
- No unnecessary redirects or confusion
- Fast load speed—under 3 seconds or you’ll lose people
- Add trust badges, SSL lock, secure payment signs
- Tell users exactly what happens after form submission
Section 5: Data & Behavior Signals
You can’t improve what you don’t track.
- LPV-to-click ratio should be 70% or more
- Bounce rate under 40% is healthy
- Heatmaps show if people are clicking the CTA
- Scroll depth tracking reveals content drop-offs
- Average session time over 45 seconds = they’re reading
I’d recommend auditing your funnel using this checklist at least once a month—especially if you’re scaling fast or running paid ads.
This is the same playbook I’ve used to double conversion rates for brands doing anywhere from ₹50K/month to ₹1Cr/month in ad spend.
So, keep your ads sharp, your landing pages sharper.
Happy advertising.
