Hey,
Imagine this…
You’re working through your day, casually sipping your third cup of coffee, and your Facebook ads are doing their thing.
Life’s good, right?
Then, bam! You see the dreaded message:
“Your advertising account has been flagged due to unusual activity. For security reasons, your ads have been paused.”
Oh, great. Just what you needed.
You might think, “Okay, no worries! I’ll just contact Facebook, explain that everything is fine, and they’ll fix it in no time.”
Well, that’s exactly when your nightmare begins.
Meta support is a blackhole where time stops, common sense evaporates, and explanations go to die.
But hey, I’m not here to dwell on the pain. I’m here to solve it. So, let’s talk solutions.
While we can’t stop Meta from being Meta, we can prepare to avoid chaos when they inevitably hit pause on our accounts.
So, here’s the jugaad approach I use for my clients to keep everything moving, no matter what Meta throws at us.
Step-by-Step Solution:
1️. Multiple Business Managers:
Set up two business managers for each client. Why? If one goes down, you’ve got a backup ready to roll.
2️. Multiple Ad Accounts:
Link 3 to 5 ad accounts to both business managers. This way, if one account gets hit, the other accounts under both managers are ready to take over.
3️. 10 Facebook Profiles:
Use 10 Facebook profiles to manage these ad accounts. But not just any profiles—they need to be at least 5 years old with a lot of organic activity. This reduces the risk of getting flagged or suspended by Meta.
4️. Pixel Strategy:
Use 2 pixels. Install both on your website and set them up properly. Run a few background campaigns with each to keep them trained and feeding data, with 80% of your campaigns using the primary pixel.
If one pixel gets suspended, switch to the other without missing a beat.
5️. Segmentation:
Keep all ad accounts functioning at all times. Spread the load across them so if one account takes a hit, you can uniformly distribute the budget to the others.
And keep all your funnels active in each account—top-of-funnel, middle-of-funnel, bottom-of-funnel—so you’re never left scrambling.
Look, Meta will do what Meta does.
Suspensions and account flagging aren’t going away. But by preparing ahead of time, you can ensure that your campaigns, traffic, and revenue keep flowing, irrespective of how the platform reacts.
Happy advertising.
