1. Thumbnail score:
I’m giving this a solid 4 out of 5.
The use of the iOS interface immediately grabs your attention, and the contextual background image shows that the brand knows its audience well.
Since this ad promotes a free course, there’s likely to be a lot of upselling, making this approach quite strategic.
2. Click Score:
This earns a 4 out of 5 from me.
The ad cleverly includes the phrase “enroll now,” which encourages people to click and be redirected to their landing page.
Additionally, this ad has a good amount of social proof, which adds to its credibility.
3. Ugly Score:
This is a perfect 5 out of 5. The creative provides complete context even before you read the full copy.
As the saying goes, every picture tells a thousand words, and using it here with context accentuates the purpose of this ad and brilliantly conveys the core message.
Plus, they’ve really capitalized on the iOS interface to their advantage.
Caption:
The caption also gets a 5 out of 5 from me. Right from the first sentence, it captures your attention with a solid hook and emojis.
The repeated use of the word “FREE” piques your curiosity about what’s being offered. By the time you’ve read the first four lines, you’re likely already sold on the idea.
I particularly appreciate how they’ve used “free” multiple times without risking a ban, so it’s a tactic worth employing more often. The caption also does a great job of highlighting the “free” aspect, making it hard to miss.
This is your style guide for creating captions in any industry.
How can you use this for your business?
- Utilize interfaces like iOS to grab attention and provide context, showing that you understand your audience.
- Use your caption to spotlight the value of what you’re offering, especially if it’s free. Repeating words like “free” can ramp up intrigue and engagement. And don’t forget to throw in some emojis and clear formatting to make your captions pop.
- You can use this caption as your cheat sheet in ChatGPT to churn out the perfect captions for your niche.
