1. Thumbnail score:

I’m giving this a 4 out of 5. UGC works in every damn industry.
People trust regular folks more than polished brands and Meta rewards ads that feel like they belong on your feed, not like they’re trying to sell you something.
This thumbnail does that well. It’s clear, the product is visible, and you know exactly what the ad is about.
But it could’ve gone one step further. Just a single overlay line could’ve added so much more context and made the scroll-stopper even stronger.
Still solid, just not maximised to its potential.
2. Hook Score:

This gets a 5 out of 5 from me.
The hook is a chef’s kiss. It opens on that universal emotion we all know – when someone compliments what you’re wearing.
That one moment becomes the entry point into the story, and it works beautifully.
Jump cuts, great pacing, and strong emotional resonance in the first 3 seconds.
You’re already pulled in before you even realise it. That’s how you know the hook’s doing its job.
3. Retention Score:
This is a solid 5 out of 5.
While shorter ads are performing better, this particular example is a long ad done right.
This is a testament to the fact that if you create ads with good storytelling, the right visuals, and good audio – it will generate interest irrespective of it’s length.
Moreover, there are so many things happening in the ad that people are bound to watch it again, which will further enhance the retention rate.
4. Click Score:
I’d give this a 4.5 out of 5.
The video keeps people glued till the offer drop and that’s what drives action.
The headline on Facebook complements the creative well and pushes the benefits even further.
There’s urgency, there’s clarity, and because the ad has been running for a while, it’s got tons of likes, comments, shares – which means more trust and more clicks.
It does everything a good click-driving creative should.

5. Ugly Score:
This is a 5 out of 5.
The UGC format lends a lot of authenticity, making it relatable and engaging.
At the same time, using native platform features, jump cuts, and unpolished shots make it even better.
6. Congruency Score:
This is a 5 out of 5.
You’re redirected to a landing page that highlights the exact same offer from the ad right at the start.
This validates your choice. Moreover, the landing page is clean and clearly lists the product benefits along with customer testimonials.
Caption:
0 out of 5. No sugarcoating this. One line captions need to go.
The creative is working overtime to build interest and credibility, and the caption does nothing to support it.
No story, no CTA, no info. Just vibes.
This could’ve been a killer caption to close the loop, and they totally missed the shot.
How can you use this for your business?
1. Lead with emotion, deliver with story. That opening moment of emotional relatability (like compliments on clothes) is what gets people invested. Find your brand’s version of that moment and build your ad around it.
2. Don’t sleep on long-form ads. If the story’s good, people will watch. Stop obsessing over 6-second cuts. Instead, obsess over keeping attention.
3. Raw > polished. Especially if you’re in fashion or lifestyle. Ditch the studio shoot look and go for something that feels like a friend sharing a new find.
