1. Thumbnail score:
I’m giving this a 4 out of 5. The ad smartly uses Twitter’s familiar and native interface, helping it stand out. However, since they’ve tweaked the size and font of the text, it might not significantly reduce their CPM.
Nonetheless, it’s still effective in grabbing attention. Additionally, the first two points draw you in by providing valuable insights upfront and then gently prompt for engagement.
Ads like this, offering great reciprocal value, will be very popular in the coaching industry.
2. Click Score:
I’d rate this a 3.5 out of 5. The headline does well in creating a sense of social obligation and urgency.
Plus, as you can see, the ad has been running for a while and has gained significant social proof.
3. Ugly Score:
This ad is trying to be ugly and does a decent job at it. I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5. I’m a fan of ads that leverage native UI to boost brand recall in their ads—I’ve used this strategy in many of my successful ads.
The only downside here is that the ad we’re discussing hasn’t perfectly matched the UI, which, unfortunately, lowers its ugly score.
Caption:
This caption gets a solid 4.5 out of 5 from me. Two things really stand out. First, it’s short and to the point. It’s just enough to make you click, and the landing page can take it from there.
The caption also does well in eliminating procrastination. When you suggest that something takes only a minimal amount of time, you motivate people to take action, which is a great strategy.
How can you use this for your business?
- Use native elements of familiar platforms to decrease your CPM. Make sure that the elements you use are consistent with the native UI to maximize recall value.
- Ads that provide valuable insights upfront and then gently prompt for engagement or action are a fantastic strategy, especially in the coaching industry. This approach builds a mutually beneficial relationship with your target audience.
- Use post IDs of old ads to keep building social proof!
